Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 Teasers, The Seven, & the Live Event | What We Know

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is big news lately. By that, we mean big. With a player base of over 350 million people, Fortnite has us all on the edge of our seats, desperate to know what the new season will reveal. Much to their standard gimmick, Epic is releasing essentially zero helpful information, and every piece of information seems to bring up more questions. Still, we'd like to cover what we know so far, and maybe some of you wiser Fortnite players could drop us a comment as to what it all means?

Release Date

You're likely already aware, but Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is officially being released on March 16, 2021. Here is the info we've got so far!

Trailers

As of March 14, Fortnite has released two trailers and one teaser trailer on the official Twitter account. Here they are, in order of their release:

The Seven

One thing mentioned by Jonesy in the second trailer is The Seven. According to the Fortnite wiki, The Seven is an organization in Fortnite lore of unknown origin and intention. Current theories suggest that they are all the same person from different realities and are trying to maintain the Zero Point.

While these teasers don't necessarily guarantee that The Seven will return this season, they are almost certainly going to return during this Chapter. However, our speculation is that since The Zero Point is currently in disarray, they'll likely play a major part in the storyline over the next couple of months!

The Live Event

There is no official release time for the Live Event in which you play through Agent Jones's final mission in the Zero Point Crisis finale. However, previous seasons have generally made the servers go down at 3 am CST. We can expect to play the solo mission within about 4 hours of the start of the update. When we have a more official time, we'll update this page.

Is there any Word from Epic Games?

As it turns out: Yes! There is a word, but you might not be happy about it, since it's exactly one word. On March 13, the CEO and Co-Founder of Epic Games tweeted out his description of season six: Wild.

Rumors

So, here's the deal. Epic Games has mastered the craft of Hype (even so much that they include as an earned reward in Fortnite). They know how to get us talking so we all log in on release day. How? They leave too much to the imagination.

Three things we have heard many players suggesting might be coming: Brazil's Soccer Team, and Wolves.

Brazil's Soccer Team (Possibly Debunked)

Some players have cleverly deduced that the ball featured in one of the images in the first trailer is an exact replica of Brazil's official soccer ball. This, plus the fact that the image of the number next to it is number 10, makes people believe Brazilian Soccer player Neymar is coming to Fortnite. Admittedly, this would be a strange way to start the season, but Fortnite is extremely popular in Brazil, so it wouldn't be a huge surprise.

Wolves

Another image in the trailers shows the front half of a wolf's mouth. Wolves were a big part of previous seasons in Chapter 1, so they may be making their return. This brings up the speculation for a lot of people that Season 6 might be paranormal-themed. There is also some talk among the rumor mill that some designs seen in other images match the designs on the Cube Monster.

What do you think?

We'd love to hear from you! This is big news and we are all experiencing it together. Do you think the Brazilian Soccer Team and the Paranormal themes have any merit? Or do you think something else is going on? Leave us a comment with your thoughts on Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6!
