Everything we know about the Fortnite x Coachella event

Fortnite has come to be known for its various collaborations, Attack on Titan being the most recent, so it shouldn't be shocking to see them team up with the massive music festival Coachella. There will be a lot of quests to complete, and island to explore, and cosmetics to wear as part of the event.

Icon Radio will feature music from the festival, so players playing in a regular match will still be able to enjoy the festivities without even visiting the Creative Island. The radio station will remain active until May 12.

How long does the Fortnite x Coachella event last?

The Coachella event begins on April 14 and runs until April 28. This gives players two weeks to get everything done and explore what they want to see.

There will be a variety of quests for players to complete that give out free cosmetics. There will also be an Item Shop bundle that hits April 13.

What is the Fortnite x Coachella Island Code?

Coachella Island, where players are going to be completing all of the quests, can be visited by entering code 5449-4207-1280. Coachella performer Porter Robinson will be playing on the island, so that'll be an added bonus for players who are fans of the musician.

Players looking to get free cosmetics will have to go here to obtain anything. There will be quests to complete on the island, and doing enough of them will unlock the rewards.

How to sign up and complete quests in Fortnite x Coachella

To earn the cosmetics, players have to first head over to the Fortnite x Coachella challenge website and get signed up. It's as simple as using an Epic Games account to log in, and then players are all set.

The quests will be released in waves, with the first week's set arriving on April 14 and the second week coming on April 21. The first quest can be completed without heading to the island as it requires players to travel 1,000 units of distance riding in a vehicle.

What are the Fortnite x Coachella Week 1 & 2 quests?

The first week will have the brunt of the quests but don't forget to finish off the second week's set either, as it's leaving free XP on the table. Here's how it all breaks down.

Week 1 Fortnite x Coachella quests

  • Soar in the Sky Stream at Coachella Island
  • Hop on Jump Pads at Coachella Island
  • Collect Coins around Coachella Island
  • Collect hidden Music Notes in the Mirage Speedrun at Coachella Island

Week 2 Fortnite x Coachella quests

  • Launch Fireworks at Coachella Island
  • Use a spray at Coachella Island

What are the Fortnite x Coachella rewards?

The free offerings won't consist of a skin, but there are still some freebies still worth going for. This is what's on tap.

  • Hi-Fi Cacti Spray
  • Look At The Sky Lobby Track
  • Cact-Eye Emoticon
  • Coachella Sunset Spray

To unlock everything, players will need to finish at least five of the Coachella Island Quests. With none of them being too difficult to complete, it should be doable to get everything unlocked in a day. Of course, the Sunset Spray does have to wait until the second week.
