How to merge Fortnite accounts – is it possible?

With OG Fortnite returning, many veteran players who fell off the game are returning to re-experience the game they knew and loved. However, in the process, they may be looking to find their old accounts.

Fortnite is much different than it used to be in the OG days, allowing for a lot more crossplay over platforms, which means instead of merging various accounts, you can use one account and link to all platforms. Keep reading for all the details below.

Can you merge accounts in Fortnite?

In the past, Epic Games provided players with a specific merging site that allowed them to set up a Primary account and merge other accounts into it. However, this was back in 2018 when the crossplay wasn't what it is today, meaning many more people had multiple accounts to play on PC or consoles. Unfortunately, there is no way to do this anymore. If you happened to have an account that was active years earlier and want to have all your valuable skins, rewards, and V-Bucks, then you'll want to log in to that Epic account and link to your other platforms instead.

How to link Fortnite accounts

Linking your Fortnite account to all platforms will allow you to play on the same account no matter what platform you choose to get on. This means no matter if you open the game on Xbox or PC, you will log in to the same account and have all the same items, progression, and currency available to you.

To link your accounts, head to the Fortnite website, and log in to your Epic Games account by pressing the profile button in the top right corner. Once you're logged in, hover over the profile button and select Account. In this menu, select the Apps and Accounts tab on the left side.

You will not be able to link each platform you'd like to by selecting the Connect button listed under them. You will be transferred to that respective site, where you'll need to log in to the respective account and can finish the linking process.

Once you're done linking your accounts, you should automatically be logged in to that Epic account on all linked platforms and access all your items and progression. This is a great way to ensure you have all your well-earned rewards or ranks, no matter where you'd like to play.
