Each new Fortnite season features Jumpstart bonus quests that help fill out the first pages of the new battle pass. While most of these can be knocked out by simply playing the game, this specific one requires you to dig around in some menus. We've got you covered below.
How to complete Open Collections and view Accolades challenge in Fortnite Season 3
Once you've finished installing the pretty hefty Fortnite Season 3 update, you'll notice that in this season's Jumpstart bonus quests, there's a challenge that needs you to complete one (seemingly simple) task to earn a whopping 15K XP. This challenge saddles you with the following objective: Open Collection and view Accolades.
Sounds simple enough, right? Well, you might feel foolish soon enough while jumping around different menus – unable to find your Accolades.
How to find Accolades menu in Fortnite Season 3
To find the Accolades menu in Fortnite Season 3, simply remain on the Quests menu where you're viewing this challenge in the first place. Next, navigate to the purple Collections button at the top of the left sidebar (you might need to scroll up a little for this).
Once you hit the Collections button, it'll first show you the game's Map. Ignore this screen, as this isn't quite what you're looking for. Neither is the following tab called Characters. What you need to do here is navigate to the last tab all the way on the right, aptly titled Accolades. Now, you'll find that the Open Collection and View Accolades challenge will be completed after you've opened this menu, earning you a tasty 15K XP in the process.
It's worth perusing through the Accolades menu, too, if you're curious about what it has in store. You can basically think of it as Fortnite's in-game achievements system.
