When does the Fortnite Chapter 2 Finale Live Event start?

The end is nigh.

As we approach The End of Chapter 2 of Fortnite, we're all excited to know exactly what time we can expect the finale event to begin, both to see what the Cube Queen does to the island, and when we can start Chapter 3. Most of us know that it's sometime within the next few days, but of course, that's not enough information.

The End of Fortnite Chapter 2 is slated to start on Dec. 4, 2021 at 3pm CT. After the live event, Fortnite is expected to shut down their servers completely in preparation for Chapter 3, which is scheduled to begin on Dec. 7. There is currently no official information from Fortnite development company Epic Games about when the game will be back up and ready to play, but the servers are expected to be back up around 4am CT on the 7th.

This means that once the Chapter 2 Finale live event starts, we won't be able to play any Battle Royale matches for at least two-and-a-half days. During this downtime, we can expect to see plenty of leaked information become available to hype up players for the completely new map and possible return of The Foundation!
