Forza Motorsport best cars in each class

Cars ranked by performance.

With over 500 cars in the roster of Forza Motorsport, it can be hard to decide which ones to buy. Although that decision comes down to personal taste, to help you with that, I prepared a list of the best cars in each class from a performance standpoint.

The 1968 Ford Mustang GT 2+2 Fastback is the winner here for being RWD and having much more power and torque than its competition. It has the biggest engine in the class with a 6.4L V8 and 325HP compared to 216HP from the closest competitor. While it lacks in handling, in this class a few points won't make a difference, and a good car setup can tame any wild beasts.

This was a difficult choice, but I chose the 1994 Nissan Fairlady Z Version S Twin Turbo because it has a powerful engine (3.0L V6, 276HP), and its top speed is much higher than all the other cars in this class. What the Nissan is lacking in braking and handling is easily fixable with the first packages of performance upgrades.

The 2004 Mercedes-Benz C 32 AMG is a well-balanced car and has the highest top speed in the division. It also has a Performance Index (PI) of 470, which means you can upgrade it quite a bit before reaching the class limit of 500.

Best Class B car in Forza Motorsport

With much more power and torque than the other Class B cars, The 2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was an easy pick for me. With a 5.7L V8, it has a much larger engine than the others, and it's reflected in its higher top speed and better power/weight ratio.

Best Class A car in Forza Motorsport

This was a difficult choice due the bevy of strong options available in this class. Ultimately I decided on the 1993 Jaguar XJ220, because its twin-turbo 542HP engine makes it one of the most powerful in its class. It is also much lighter than its direct competition and has amazing speed and acceleration (without losing much in handling).

Best Class S car in Forza Motorsport

I found the 1998 Nissan R390 GT1 to be the most impressive car in the S class for its amazing acceleration and high top speed. It has a 3.5L V8 Twin turbo engine that makes up for its heaviness and it doesn't lose much in handling or braking to the other cars.

Best Class R car in Forza Motorsport

The 2019 Bugatti Divo is the fastest car in the game yet far from its maximum PI —which means you can improve it while still keeping it under the Class R. It has an insane 8.0L W16 Twin Turbo engine (the same as the Bugatti Chiron), but the Divo has more acceleration. This car would be ideal in tracks like Le Mans where there are incredibly long straights.

Best Class P car in Forza Motorsport

The 2014 Audi Team Joest R18 e-tron quattro is for me the best Class P car for its maximum score in Braking, Handling, and Acceleration. What the car lacks in top speed compared to its competition, it makes up in every other aspect. Besides it comes with a PI of 979, which means you can still improve in its performance until the limit of 999.

Best Class X car in Forza Motorsport

There are only three cars in this class up to the launch version of the game, and yet, this was the most difficult choice on the list. The 1998 McLaren Honda MP4/4 and the 1990 Ferrari 641 are two of the most iconic F1 cars in history, and they are evenly matched. The main difference between these cars is the Ferrari has more power and the McLaren is lighter and more nimble. But since the McLaren was the championship-winning car in its year and the Ferrari wasn't, I chose the MP4/4 as the best Class X car in Forza Motorsport.
