Genshin Impact fan cosplays as the Ruin Guard, complete with its signature spin attack

So much talent.

The Genshin Impact community has never been short of talented artists, editors, singers, cosplayers, and other amazing creators. But a new cosplay of the Ruin Guard, which was shared in r/Genshin_Impact, is possibly one of the best fan-made renditions of the menacing enemy to have ever been shared online.

Reddit user u/thomasacortez27 took to the dedicated Genshin Impact Reddit community to share his handmade cosplay, a 10-feet tall Ruin Guard armor that looks nearly identical to the in-game model. The impressive visuals only make up one-half of the cosplay's appeal, as it can even perform the enemy's signature move: a spin attack called the Beyblade.

While it understandably can't (and shouldn't) knock passersby down like it can do in-game, it's still an extremely impressive adaptation of the Ruin Guard's skill. According to the u/thomasacortez27, it took about two to three months to build the cosplay. It's been sighted in Popfancy Genshin Cafe in Houston, Texas, and is expected to make an appearance in Anime Matsuri in the Summer.

The Ruin Guard is one of Genshin Impact's most iconic monster silhouettes, with a presence in all three of the currently-playable nations: Monstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma.

It played a huge role in Childe's Story Quest, which opened up the Domain called The Wonderful World of Mr. Cyclops, a Ruin Guard factory that was once run by the Fatui Harbinger, Il Dottore. As Genshin Impact's Version 3.0 closes in, players can anticipate Il Dottore's possible appearance in Sumeru—and presumably more Ruin Guards as well.
