Each region of Teyvat in Genshin Impact has two weekly bosses that you can challenge only once per week. They can be long fights, but the rewards are worth the effort. The second weekly boss added to Sumeru, the Guardian of Apep's Oasis, can be challenged and defeated to gain Mora, Nagadus Emerald pieces, Dream Solvent, Talent Ascension materials, Artifacts, and even weapon billets. Here is how to unlock and defeat it.
How to unluck The Realm of Beginnings Domain, the Guardian of Apep's Oasis in Genshin Impact
To unlock this Domain you must take on and complete Nahida's Story Quest, Sapientia Oromasdis, Act II. It is a fairly straight forward quest, in which you'll help Nahida to regain some memories she has lost, and remember that she she needs to help Apep, the Dendo Dragon, before they become fully corrupted by Forbidden Knowledge.
After completing the quest, you'll unlock the Realm of Beginnings Domain, where you can fight the Guardian of Apep's Oasis again once weekly for additional rewards. You can fast travel to it using the Domain icon in the north west corner of the Desert of Hadramaveth.
There are four difficulty levels to choose from the Domain Menu. Fighting at higher difficulty levels will earn you more rewards.

Guardian of Apep's Oasis - first phase
The boss fight against the Guardian of Apep's Oasis has three distinct stages. In the first, you'll be fighting against the Warden of the Last Oasis. Other than having a large amount of health, there are no real standout tricks to this phase of the boss fight. He will try and slap your characters silly, but if you use Elemental Reactions efficiently, you should take him down in no time.
Guardian of Apep's Oasis - second phase
After defeating the muted version of the Guardian, you'll start the second phase of the battle. In this stage, you'll be protecting the Heart of the Oasis in the center of the room from oncoming enemies, much like in the Impregnable Defense Daily Commission. Defeating the mobs quickly with end this phase quicker, while allowing them to attack the Heart of the Oasis will make it last longer.
We recommend having some characters with AOE attacks, ranged characters, or Anemo characters with good crowd control skills, like Kazuha or Venti. in your party to help make this stage go smoothly.
Guardian of Apep's Oasis - third phase
The third and final phase will pit you against a revived version of the Warden of the Oasis. This time, the boss will have a devastating shockwave attack. As the boss prepares to use shockwaves, you'll need to place your character inside a Shield of Revival's Hymn, a green bubble barrier, to protect yourself. The Shields will automatically appear a second or two before the Warden will attack, so move quickly when you see that warning.
