The northern most region of Sumeru's desert, nearby where the ancient civilization of Khaenri'ah most likely was, has plenty of unique puzzles to solve thanks to a companion you encounter, Sorush, during a World Quest, The Splendorous Sky That Day. Are you confused by what to do with Burgeoning Spirits, the green balls of light that grow on roots around the area? Don't worry, we can help. Here's how to solve Burgeoning Spirit Puzzles in Genshin Impact.
What to do with the green lights on roots in Sumeru's desert in Genshin Impact
While some Burgeoning Spirit puzzles only need you to use Sorush to interact with all of the green lights in an area, occasionally, you'll need to look for nearby pictographs to explain what order you should be interacting with the Burgeoning Spirits. Frequently these pictographs will be hidden or covered by Gray Chalk, which you will need to plant a Farrwick nearby to reveal.
The pictographs depict the order of interaction using dots. They are also a 2D image representative of green orbs in 3D space, so keep that in mind when looking for the orbs. In the example above, one dot is underneath the picture of the topmost Burgeoning Spirit. Two dots are underneath the picture of the left most Burgeoning Spirit, and three are underneath the picture of the lowest one on the right. To solve the puzzle, you would use Sorush to interact with the highest Burgeoning Spirit nearby the pictograph, then the farthest on the left, followed by the Burgeoning Spirit on the far right.
You may also see Gray Crystals on Burgeoning Spirits. Before you can interact with them, you will need to place a Farrwick nearby. Frequently, this will mean moving the Farrwick that is revealing the pictograph, so it will become covered by chalk again. Try to remember the pictures as best you can when this happens.
