How to take all photos in the Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens event in Genshin Impact

Bring out your inner photographer.

Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens is a Genshin Impact photography event that starts in Inazuma and runs from April 1, 2022, to April 11, 2022. During the event, you need to help the light novel illustrator Asagiri find inspiration to meet her deadlines.

Recommended Videos

She'll be gradually providing Photo Notes within the duration of the event. Head to the locations marked by a Kamera icon in the World Map and mini-map, and interact with the glowing spot to start taking photos. Keep in mind that you must use the Kamera Gadget.

Legend of the Wind Knight

This prompt is located in front of the Cathedral in Monstadt. Follow the steps below to snap the right shot:

  • Use any Anemo character as the subject of the photo. The character must be facing the Kamera.
  • Zoom out until you see three Photo-Taking Points at the top of the screen.
  • Use an Anemo Skill, but make sure that the character is still facing forward while using it.
  • While the Anemo Skill is still active, immediately use the Kamera to take a photo.

  • Prepare by charging up an Electro character's Elemental Burst. You may need a second as a backup just in case.
  • Head to the photography location and zoom out until you see one Photo-Taking Point. The Photo-Taking Point is located on the carved wall in the clearing.
  • Use the Electro character's Elemental Burst and immediately snap a shot with the Kamera. Don't wait for the Burst animation to finish, or the photo will fail. This applies even to characters like Raiden Shogun and Fischl, whose Bursts last for a longer period. Only a photo of the casting animation counts.
