How to use the Gadget Quick Swap shortcut in Genshin Impact

As Teyvat continues to expand, Genshin Impact's roster of Gadgets also continues to increase. With so many useful tools at your disposal, you may find yourself constantly switching between them while exploring the open world or in the middle of a heated battle.

There's nothing I find more annoying than going through all the motions of opening the backpack and clicking so many buttons just to switch Gadgets—but luckily, there's a shortcut to simplify the process.

How to switch Gadgets without opening backpack in Genshin Impact

Start by opening the Gadget Inventory. You'll find a lightning-shaped button called Quick Swap on the bottom left of the screen. Click on it to configure which Gadgets you want to have on hand.

You can choose up to four Gadgets at a time. These will represent which you can swap around while on the field. You will have to use the backpack to activate Gadgets outside of the four you pick, but you can change them up at any time. Once you've decided, click Confirm on the bottom right of the screen.

Now that your Quick Swap menu has been set up, you can start using the function in the open world. Simply click and hold the Gadget button (Z for PC), then select the Gadget you want to equip by either clicking on the icon on mobile or clicking on the corresponding number button on PC. This way, you can hold up to four Gadgets at a time and swap between them without having to open the backpack.
