The Sumeru tunnels are a dangerous frontier, rampant with flying serpents and Electro-infused scorpions. These caverns are scattered all over the Desert of Hadramaveth, and can be found both by intentionally searching and falling through the floor. While these tunnels are brimming with monsters, they also contain beautiful glowing flowers. Come join us as we explain the purpose of these glowing flowers in Genshin Impact.
What are the glowing flowers in Sumeru caves used for in Genshin Impact?
These glowing flowers restore a portion of your stamina when you touch them. Upon passing through one of these flowers, half of your stamina bar will be refilled. Similar stamina-restoring plants can be found on the sides of trees in the Apam Woods. The purpose of these flowers is to make travel easier, since they prevent you from having to intermittently stop and wait for your stamina to replenish. These glowing flowers, along with other travel aides like the Four-Leaf Sigils, can only be found in Sumeru.

Small details like these stamina-restoring flowers make Sumeru an enjoyable region to explore. Due to its sheer scale, Sumeru could have been an exhausting trek from one Waypoint to another. However, the game's developers likely anticipated this issue, and solved it preemptively with the glowing flowers and Four-Leaf Sigils. These features make exploration less of a chore and more of a fun adventure. Hopefully, HoYoverse will notice the overwhelmingly positive reception of these mechanics and implement them in Fontaine as well.
