Who is ‘Ganqing’ in Genshin Impact?

'Ganqing' is less of a who and more of a what. Specifically, Ganqing is a ship name between two female characters within Genshin Impact. Recently, miHoYo has been teasing fans about this particular ship openly on their Twitter, meaning we may see more of these two together soon.

Why the 'Ganqing' Ship became so popular

Ganqing refers to the possible romantic relationship between the two characters Ganyu and Keqing. These two have been seen in several pieces of official game art together and after their roles and lines of dialogue together in Liyue Qixing, they have become a new sensation. Remember that shipping two characters does not mean that they will ever have any sort of romantic relationship within the piece of media. However, miHoYo has actively engaged with fans on this specific ship, meaning that there may be more to it.

Ganyu and Keqing have appeared in a couple of the game's announcement arts together. Most recently, a piece of the two and Paimon appeared on Genshin Impact's official Twitter account. After being up for a short while, the tweet was deleted. Later on, the image was retweeted with an edit to fix Ganyu. In the original image, she was not holding the ski pole in her hand. To say the least, this caused quite a stir within the fandom and for the ship name, Ganqing, to spread.
