How to learn the new combat ability in the Iki Island DLC in Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut?

Charge!

You can learn a new combat ability in the Iki Island DLC of Ghost of Tsushima Directors Cut. This can be learned from the very first mission of the island, depending on which quest you choose first.

If you choose A Lost Friend, this tale will involve you finding your lost horse, and in this quest, you will learn Horse Charge. This ability allows you to charge violently into oncoming Mongols while riding your horse, dealing massive damage.

Depending on the size of the Mongols, they will also be knocked—this does not include Brutes. But using this ability costs you one Resolve to activate. The longer you charge for, the more Resolve the ability will use, and it swiftly drains it, even if you have a max gauge of it.

Horse Charge has three upgrades you can spend ability points to improve.

  • Horse Charge
    • Horse Charge Efficiency
      • Reduces the Resolve burn rate of Horse Charge by 30 percent.
    • Horse Charge Recovery
      • Adds a 10 percent chance for Horse Charge impacts to recover three Resolve.
    • Terrifying Horse Charge
      • When striking an enemy with Horse Charge, the impact has a 25 percent chance to Terrify nearby enemies.
