Ionizer Pods are essentially grenades that disperse a yellow cloud of particles that significantly limit a Ghost's ability to evade capture. Throw them anytime by pressing the indicated key on the lower right corner of the screen next to the yellow Ionizer Pod icon. Keep in mind: you can only carry up to three pods at a time. Once you've used all three pods, you must go back to the Gear Cart to either switch to a new gadget or resupply, so use your Ionizer Pods wisely.

Ionizer Pods have no effect on minions, but they do slow down Ghosts inside the cloud, making then easier to catch. They are particularly effective when used on Ectoblast Ghosts, whose primary strength is their speed and ability to evade capture. Throw them to help cover your teammates mid-catch and trap those ghosts.
