What is Ethereal Weaving in GhostWire: Tokyo?

Your weapon against evil.

GhostWire: Tokyo, the latest game from developer Tango Gameworks, places you into the shoes of Akito. His goal: to fight off otherwordly spirits after all the other humans in the city have vanished. Akito is able to access supernatural abilities due to a spirit known as KK inside his head. These abilities are known as Ethereal Weaving.

Utilizing Ethereal Weaving, Akito can employ different elemental abilities like fire, water, electricity, and wind. You will be able to make use of these abilities in your fight against evil spirits. Akito has a few other abilities at his disposal as well. He also has the ability to block projectiles, and perfectly timing these blocks can send the projectile back at enemies. Lastly, there are a number of quick traversal abilities such as a grapple type move.

Though there are times when Akito may get separated from the spirit KK, and no longer have access to these abilities. When this happens, he will need to utilize stealth and more feudal weapons against the spirits such as talismans and a bow.

Below you can see the GhostWire: Tokyo deep dive gameplay video in which Etheral Weaving and other gameplay can be seen in action.

So there you have it, that is what Ethereal Weaving is in GhostWire: Tokyo. Luckily, players won't have to wait much longer before trying out all of Akito's abilities themselves. GhostWire: Tokyo launches on PS5 and PC on March 25, 2022.
