Can you go back to old areas in God of War Ragnarök?

Yes, much like God of War (2018), players can revisit previously explored areas in Ragnarök. In fact, there are many secrets and collectibles that require players to have skills and items obtained later in the game. So if you see a shiny bauble and are stressing that you can't get it, fret not. Odds are you might not have the requirement to get it yet. Otherwise, look at one of our many handy guides to walk you through it.

So, take your time and explore the end of the world at your leisure. Travel back and forth as you see fit. There is a surprising amount of time and capability to take things in before it all goes to Hel.
