How to remove the brambles to open chests in God of War Ragnarok

Use magic against magic!

Players will come across all sorts of puzzles and obstacles as they play through God of War Ragnarok, especially in Vanaheim. One of the obstacles that players will encounter pretty often is the Vanir brambles that cover chests around the Nine Realms. There is a way past these, but players will need to progress through the story to obtain the key.

These brambles will be found all over the Nine Realms, and not just blocking chests, but sometimes paths and shortcuts as well. To get past these, players need to use Sigil Arrows either shot from Atreus' bow or Freya's bow, and then ignite the center of the Sigils with Kratos' Blades of Chaos. This will cause the brambles to burn up and reveal whatever was previously covered up.

Since players need to use Kratos' Blades to ignite the Sigils and the Blades only have a limited range, they will sometimes need to chain together Sigils to get them in range of his attacks. When Sigils are placed close together, they can connect to each other. When one is ignited, they will all go up in flames.
