Crouching is one of the key components in GTA San Andreas and is frequently used to protect yourself from enemy gunfire or to get in small, hidden areas. However, the control scheme we remember from the game’s original consoles (the Original Xbox and the PlayStation 2) might have changed to accommodate for the new consoles.
Regardless of whether you are new to the game or playing for nostalgia, you can probably use a refresher for the best defense mechanism in the game. Here are the controls for crouching in GTA: San Andreas Definitive Edition.

To uncrouch, you simply need to press the same button you used to crouch. Doing this will toggle between crouching and standing. Being crouched makes your character move slower, but it increases your weapon’s accuracy. It’s also helpful for hiding behind walls and hedges, as the characters in this game cannot look through solid objects.
