Disney and Pixar characters are battling it out in a new cart racer, Disney Speedstorm. Disney Speedstorm will combine characters like Mickey Mouse, Sully and Jack Sparrow into a fast-paced kart style racer. Each character will have their own special abilities.
Disney Speedstorm is free to play, as revealed during the February 2022 Nintendo Direct. Nintendo also announced there will be regular season updates that will introduce new characters, karts, and more.
Disney Speedstorm will include cross-play with other platforms, split-screen co-op, and online multiplayer modes. Details on these modes, and potential single-player modes are unknown at this time. However it is likely that the standard game mode will operate similarly to Mario kart, with Disney Speedstorm being described as a 'battle-racer'.

At this time, we are unsure of the exact number of Disney and Pixar characters in the base game or the number of courses to expect. The trailer has shown Mickey Mouse, Sully, Jack Sparrow, Donald Duck and Mullan. The trailer also shows Pirates of the Caribbean and Monster Inc. themed courses.
Disney Speedstorm is being developed by Gameloft and was announced at the February 9th Nintendo Direct event. These showcases show off new game announcements, updates on existing titles, and other surprises.
