LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga Switch Performance – How does it run?

The force is strong with this port.

LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga is out now on just about every current-generation platform. Still, those aiming to take this brick-breaking adventure with them on the go are sure to grab the latest LEGO title on their Nintendo Switch, but how does the game perform on this hybrid console.

LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga performs relatively well on the Nintendo Switch, maintaining a steady 30 frames per second in less demanding aspects of the game. There are, however, some outliers where LEGO Star Wars has performance dips.

Areas where LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga Struggles

Some of the most taxing portions of LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga come from large-scale battles with large numbers of enemies. An immediate example of this would be during Episode I's Outmanned but Not Out Gungan-ed mission where waves of Droids for players to destroy. This portion of the game sees significant dips in framerate and responsiveness.

Not only do large-scale battles suffer performance dips, but playing co-op on the Nintendo Switch Console is a far rougher experience, seeing regular dips in performance as users make their way through the game.

Should you get LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga on Switch?

If you plan to play LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga and don't mind a few frame dips during your playthrough or don't intend to play the game with a co-op partner, then you'll enjoy your time with LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga on Nintendo's hybrid console. Suppose you'd like to play this title without interruption or plan to have another user. We'd recommend picking up the Skywalker Saga on another platform should you have access to one for a more cohesive cooperative experience.
