Jump Force is Bandai Namco’s crossover fighting game that saw characters from dozens of Shōnen Jump manga series battle it out for supremacy. But if you were hoping to pick up the game on Steam, you might be surprised to find it missing. So, what happened to Jump Force?
The short answer is that Jump Force was removed from Steam on Feb. 7. In an announcement on Nov. 10, 2021 (via Twitter), Bandai Namco announced that it was removing the game from stores in the Americas on that date.
Can I still play Jump Force?
If you already own the game, on any platform, you can still play Jump Force. But not for long. The online servers for the games in the Americas will shut down on Aug. 24, 2022. Online purchases, leaderboards, rewards, and in-game shop items will be restricted from Aug. 1. It’s presumed that the game will remain active for Japanese versions for longer, but this is unconfirmed.

Jump Force features characters from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, Naruto, and popular Japanese animated series. A three-versus-three arena brawler, the game is sort of a Marvel-vs.-Capcom-meets-Super-Smash-Bros. game.
The main appeal is definitely the vast array of familiar heroes and villains. With 17 different series represented, there is a little something for fans of almost every major Shōnen show series. Now, fans of this kind of crossover battle game will have to wait for the next time Bandai Namco releases a Shōnen Jump game.
