Multiplayer combat is the ultimate gamer test, so equipping yourself with the weapons that will give you the edge, thanks to your play style, is the key to success. Some weapons simply do more damage or fire faster, so pick the combination that works best for you.

The best weapons in Halo Infinite, ranked

I’ve picked out my favorite weapons in each category below to give you a little insight into why I’ve chosen them and why they might suit you.

Best S Tier weapons in Halo Infinite

M41 Spnkr

The rocket launcher from previous Halo outings is back with a new name but all the destructive power you’d expect. Great for maximum carnage and multi-kills as long as you can live with low ammo and load times.

Energy Sword

The Energy Sword is the best melee weapon out there for me, thanks to the extended lunge distance adding to the already biblical damage numbers. Grappleshotr gets you to your target more efficiently too, making this a great all-rounder.

Best A Tier weapons in Halo Infinite

M40 Assault Rifle

If you love the classics, you’ll love the fact the M40 Assault Rifle is now a viable option. It loses out to the superior BR75 Battle rifle at long range, but when you get closer, it shows its versatility, making it a great allrounder.

Cindershot

Looking for crowd control? Then look no further than the Cindershot. It takes a little getting used to due to the odd ammo, but these grenades are amazing once you’ve mastered their trajectory. Busy room? Not for long…

Best B Tier weapons in Halo Infinite

Mangler

If you want to do big single-shot damage at closer range, the Mangler still rules the roost despite some nerfing for Season 2. Go for the MK50 for ROF, but a skilled player can still make the Mangler work.

CQS48 Bulldog

This is another weapon that felt the nerf bat in Season 2, but it remains a solid choice for Halo Infinite players. It requires accuracy to use it well and is specifically useful in tighter spaces, hence a lower ranking.

I think that if you’re using a weapon I’ve ranked in tiers C or D above, you’re doing yourself a disservice and can find something better. However, if you disagree, feel free to let us know in the comments below. As long as you’re having fun with Halo Infinite, it’s the right choice for you!
