Hogwarts Legacy was given an in-depth look at PlayStation's Hogwarts Legacy State of Play that streamed on March 17, 2022. It was revealed that players would be able to explore a plethora of places within the wizarding world, including places not shown in the movies. The showcase highlighted Hogsmeade and the surrounding countryside Hamlets, but other locations will likely be explorable outside of Hogwarts' walls.
How can you explore the world of Hogwarts Legacy?
The showcase gave a ton of information about the game, including modes of travel. Players will be able to fly on broomsticks to explore the world and will likely have the capacity to explore at their own pace. Scenes of the showcase also revealed the iconic Hogwarts Express, with players seated on a train traveling to an undisclosed location. This may be how players get around the world until they master their broomstick abilities.
While Hogsmeade and other iconic areas are explorable in Hogwarts Legacy, there may be some aspects that are unfamiliar to fans of the series. The game takes place in the 1800s, centuries before the events of the Harry Potter movies. This difference in setting could have a large impact on the look of some of the well-known locations within the world.
