Hogwarts Legacy received a large in-depth showcase at the PlayStation State of Play on March 17, 2022. Fans were shown 15-minutes of gameplay and a huge amount of information about the game. Some of the game's main conflict was shown at the State of Play, with players shown to be working alongside Professor Fig to uncover a Goblin uprising within the wizarding world.
Multiple scenes of Goblins fighting witches and wizards were shown during the showcase, and it would appear that they are the main antagonists. There is also a mysterious figure working alongside them who seems to have a keen interest in the players or another student at Hogwarts.
It was also revealed that the game's main character can interact with and use ancient magic that is unknown even to some professors at Hogwarts. It is likely that there are forces at play that will surprise players once the game releases during its Holiday 2022 release window.
What can players explore in Hogwarts Legacy?
The State of Play also detailed a number of explorable areas in the game's open world. Areas of Hogwarts that were not shown in detail in the Harry Potter movies will be explorable in Hogwarts Legacy.
Players will also have the opportunity to visit surrounding areas like Hogsmeade, and can even use their broomstick to traverse the world. Fans can rewatch the showcase and try to find all of the details on PlayStation's official YouTube page.
