Hogwarts Legacy continues to reveal more and more details of a possible Quidditch mechanic as the game comes closer to release. A Golden Snitch can clearly be seen in the Gryffindor common room at 1:57 seconds in the game's trailer.
The Golden Snitch might be a collectible, but we may be looking at clues to the sport being in the game with other evidence. As first spotted on Reddit, click on the images below for a close look.
JK Rowling wrote "Quidditch Through The Ages," which covers a lot of the game. In 1883, Quidditch became the modern game we see Harry Potter playing in the movies. By the time the rules were finalized, Hogwarts students had played Quidditch with balls for about 500 years. The game takes place in the late 1800s, so this would be around the same time.
Another bit of evidence can be found in a PlayStation Blog Post by Chandler Wood, the Community Manager of WB Games Avalanche. The post includes clips of broom mechanics and animal grooming. You can also watch two animals pushing a ball around in another clip after the groomed animal.
It may not look like the Quidditch ball of the Harry Potter movies, but those take place 200 years after this, so this could be how Quidditch balls looked in the 1800s.
