Honkai Star Rail Trailblazer Fire – How to get and unlock

Defense wins Championships, even in Honkai Star Rail.

Versatility is partly why the Trailblazer is such a strong character in Honkai Star Rail. Of course, they have a very strong debut on the Destruction path, but later in the game, the Trailblazer will get the opportunity to tread down the Preservation path. Here is what players need to do to unlock the new path.

How do players get the Fire Trailblazer in Honkai Star Rail?

Getting the Fire version of the Trailblazer in Honkai Star Rail is rather simple. After the tutorial, players get to visit the frosty planet of Jarilo VI. Once players complete the full story line here and beat the final boss, the Trailblazer will get the Fire type automatically. It took me a couple of days to get halfway through Jarilo VI, so it's reasonable to say that completing the full story line will take several days.

What can the Fire Trailblazer do in Honkai Star Rail?

Put simply, the Fire Trailblazer is a tank. The skillset that Fire Trailblazer gets is all centered around taking loads of damage and then firing back with powerful attacks. The Fire Trailbalzer can also use Taunt to attract heavy damage their way, keeping the other glass cannons on the team safe. Here is the kit for Fire Trailblazer:

  • Basic Attack: Ice-Breaking Light. Inflicts Fire damage equal to 50% of Fire Trailblazer's Attack. Enhanced version with four Magma stacks will inflict 90% of Attack.
  • Skill: Ever Burning Amber. Increases damage reduction by 42% and gains one stack of Magma. Guaranteed to taunt enemies for a single round.
  • Ultimate: Flaming Lance Behind Enemy Lines. Inflicts Fire damage based on 60% of Fire Trailblazer's Defense and boosts the next Basic Attack without Magma stacks.
  • Talent: Treasure of the Architects. Gains one Magma stack everytime Fire Trailblazer gets hit. Enhances Basic attack at four stacks, dealing damage to single or adjacent enemy. Also applies shield to allies after using Basic Attack, Skill or Ultimate.
  • Technique: Call of the Guardian. Generates shield that negates damage up to 50% of Fire Trailblazer's Defense going into the next battle.
