How to play Hot Wheels Unleashed Split-Screen

Never worry about your parents tripping over the racetrack in the living room again!

Looking to race with your friends via good old fashioned split-screen? Good news, you can!

From the main menu, you'll select the multiplayer mode, and after selecting you will see an option for split-screen mode. From there each player will be able to tweak settings and button mapping. Select a car, pick a track, and then you're off to the races.

Hot Wheels Unleashed boasts massive customization potential, players can edit the color and add decals to their car. Where the customization really shines, though, is in the track editor, where you can design your own racetracks (and also use in split-screen) using that ever familiar orange track. You can also create obstacles like loops and jumps, as well as environments like a spider or t-rex.

How Wheels Unleashed is now available on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series S & X, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows. However, if playing the PS5 version (with specific DualSense support) you will need to have two DualSense controllers for local multiplayer. If, however, you have purchased the PS4 version and are playing on PS5, the game will support both the DualShock and DualSense Controller.
