Inscryption is a horror game with deck-building mechanics. Players find themselves trapped in Leshy's cabin and attempt to make it to the end of the game. In the end, players will find themselves up against none other than Leshy himself.
Leshy is the final boss of Act 1 and has been your captor and tormentor throughout your time in the cabin. Unlike other bosses before him, Leshy has three lives and phases that you must defeat to win. Each phase plays differently and uses different cards.
Before the fight begins, you have the opportunity to go through three trials. Each one that you pass will reward you with a boon. These are powerful effects that will significantly increase your chances of winning this fight. For the first two trials, you should select the trial you have the best chance of winning. The third could be completed automatically if you got the ring from the cuckoo clock.
Leshy's first phase is fairly standard. He will employ a mixture of cards and sigils. You shouldn't have too much trouble with this phase; just be aware of his mole man as it will block any empty slot you attack. Use flying sigils to bypass this, attack with bifurcation sigils, or simply use brute force.
The second phase resets Leshy's life. During this phase, he will use Deathcards. These are random and can have varying health, strength, and sigils. Try to defeat this phase quickly to prevent him from overwhelming you.
The third and final phase changes the rules. Leshy will take a picture of the moon behind him, turning it into a card. The moon card occupies the entirety of Leshy's board. It has 40 health and one strength. The moon will attack all of your cards four times, effectively dealing four damage to each card/slot a turn. If you have two empty slots when the moon attacks, you will lose instantly.
The best option to defeat the moon is to attack with your strongest cards. Having cards with high health points is also key so that they can withstand the moon's attacks. Always try to keep your slots filled with a card as you battle Leshy. Deal 40 damage to the moon, and you will have beaten Leshy.
