The King of Fighters XV launched under the SNK banner on Feb. 17, 2022 on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The question that has been traversing one or two minds since its release, however, is whether or not the fifteenth instalment to the series is in favor of crossplay.
Unfortunately, SNK has officially confirmed that The King of Fighters XV does not support crossplay. This was announced over on the official SNK blog handle in December of last year. So, in short, this means PlayStation, Xbox, and PC users are unable to play in the same lobby.

Bad news set aside, SNK has made it clear that crossplay will be available for certain PC clients. According to the developer, users that run The King of Fighters XV on either Steam or the Epic Games Store will be able to share the same world.
To add to this, users that have different versions of both Xbox and PlayStation will also be able to play against one another. For example, a player with a PlayStation 4 can matchmake with another on PlayStation 5, and vice versa.
