To progress in Lethal Company, gathering scrap to sell is required, but how to sell scrap is unclear. Luckily, I made this guide to explain the nuances of buying and selling items.
How to sell items in Lethal Company
If you are wondering how to sell items in Lethal Company, it's easy once you learn the process. First, you must have enough scrap salvaged from the various moons in Lethal Company. Ideally, you should gather enough to meet the starting quota of 130 and a little over. You can earn enough to buy ship upgrades and various tools if you meet the quota and a little extra.
Once you have enough scrap, you can sell your items by visiting the Company Building. To visit the Company Building, you must access the Terminal and type Company Building inside it. After typing Company Building, type Confirm and then hit enter. Doing so sets the ship's course to that of the Company Building.
However, I don't recommend visiting the Company Building until the quota deadline reaches zero. In short, if you visit the Company Building before the end of the quota (day zero), your items won't sell for the full amount of 100 percent. On the last day, all scrap sells for their full amount of 100 percent, making it better to wait to sell. I also recommend playing with at least two players to make waiting for the last day in Lethal Company easier.
In short, if you are solo and die, you lose all scrap, but with an extra player, you can make it out with all of your scrap. Have the extra player wait on the ship and watch the Terminal. If you have a player stay on the ship, they can escape the moon, saving all scrap gathered should the other players die on the moon.
Once you are ready to sell, you can check if it's the right time to sell your items by typing Company Building. After typing Company Building, look at the top of your screen; it will display the price percentage the Company buys items.
When you visit the Company Building, you can sell your items by placing them on the Company sales desk. To sell an item, press E and keep putting items on the desk until you run out of room.
After placing all the items you want to sell, stand next to the desk and press the bell using the E key once or twice. Do not press the bell too many times, or a monster spawns and grabs the nearest player. If a player gets grabbed, they die, and the body is permanently lost. I recommend having one player press the bell at least once and then waiting until you hear an audio cue. Sometimes, the items will take a minute to sell, so you may need to wait a few seconds before pressing the bell again.

How to buy items in Lethal Company
You can buy items in Lethal Company and have them show up on moons they visit by accessing the Terminal. Start by typing Store into the Terminal and then scrolling down to find an item you can afford. For example, if you want to buy and use a Teleporter in Lethal Company, type Teleporter and then type confirm.
If you buy regular items such as Shovels or the Zap Gun, the items will drop on Moons. When items drop on moons, you can find them via drop pods that play music when they land. You can also store any of these items by pressing E to store them inside the red storage cabinet close to the entrance of the ship.
