Little Kitty, Big City: The Switch game where you can become a cat

The concern that Switch players often have is that some big-hit indie games don't make their way over to the Nintendo Switch. A good example of this is Stray, another cat-centric game that was released on Steam, but not on the Switch.

Nintendo gamers have their own niche of gaming, but there's something very cozy about being able to cuddle up with a hot drink and your handheld console, even after all these years. When game releases swerve past the Switch release charts, it can be disheartening.

Some cozy games from the past couple of years were only released on the PC, such as Spirit City: Lofi Sessions, Chill Town, and I Am Future: Cozy Apocalypse Survival. That's not to say that Switch users miss out on cozy games, but we definitely missed out on Stray, which is still popular almost two years after its launch.

Thankfully, Little Kitty, Big City will be available on the Nintendo Switch and on Steam the second it's released on May 9.

Will Little Kitty Big City be on Game Pass?

This game is gearing up to be one of the most popular indie game releases this year. It will be available on Game Pass for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Series S players on May 9—making it a day one release. No one is going to miss out on this game... Except the PlayStation gamers. Sorry!

What is Little Kitty, Big City?

Little Kitty, Big City is another amazing cozy game that allows the player to control a cute, black cat who is lost in an unnamed Japanese city. Developed by Double Dagger Studio as their first game, Little Kitty, Big City was shown off to the public at the Wholesome Games event during its Wholesome Snack showcase. It received positive press after the event and has been a game many indie gamers have been looking forward to for nearly two and a half years.

The objective of Little Kitty, Big City is to help this sleek feline make their way back home. On their journey, you can enjoy many of the things you imagine cats get up to when prowling around, including jumping into boxes, sneaking off with food, and chasing their tails.

It's just a silly, little cat game. It has gremlin energy, which is perfect for cozycore gamers and those looking for something lighthearted to play.

The style reminds a lot of people of the Untitled Goose Game, which is a fair comparison to make. There's nothing scary or dystopian about this game, it's just a sunny game about a cat trying to get home.

How much is Little Kitty Big City going to cost?

The price of Little Kitty, Big City is still locked on Steam, but the Nintendo e-Shop currently has it under pre-order offer for $22.49. The sale for Little Kitty, Big City will end on May 17, and the price will bump to its normal cost of $24.99 on the Switch.

Game Pass players will benefit from the game being included in their monthly subscription. However, if you don't have a subscription yet, it's $9.99 a month for either PC or Xbox, or you can pay $16.99 to have Game Pass games on both systems.
