Live-service games and bugs go hand in hand, especially because the titles are server-hosted; if there's an issue on the dev's side, it becomes a problem for everyone. League of Legends is no exception to this, with error codes not being too uncommon. Here's how to fix the LoL 5C "Trouble fetching information for this player" bug.

How to fix LoL Error 5C ‘Trouble fetching information for this player’ bug
There are a handful of fixes you can try, although it's unknown exactly what causes the error in the first place. It appears to be related to your internet connection, so most of the solutions are assuming the issue could be on your end, though it's possible it may be a server-side problem.
If you're encountering the League of Legends Error 5C "Trouble fetching information for this player" bug, try the following:
- Turn your PC's WiFi connection on and off—A simple reconnection could fix the problem.
- Restart your internet router—If the first fix doesn't work, try resetting your router to refresh all connections.
- Log into a different LoL account—This may sound like a weird solution, but some players have resolved the bug by logging out of their main League account and into another. If you don't have a second one, create one.
- Use the LoL Hextech Repair Tool—If all else fails, Riot Games has a dedicated LoL program that can diagnose and repair any issues on Windows and Mac. And if it can't fix the problem, it creates a diagnostics log that you can send to Support so they can pinpoint what's causing Error 5C and get you back into the game ASAP.
