What do the Witcher 3 potions do in Lost Ark?

Witcher potions are known for their potency.

A new event is coming to Lost Ark in the form of a Witcher crossover starting January 18, and with it comes a whole slew of new content. From a new location to new quests and stories as well as plenty of cosmetics, the event will have a ton of activities for players to dive into. However, many players have noticed the event will be featuring some new items in the form of Witcher potions, but they are unsure of what the potions are or what they do. Below you'll find names and descriptions for the potions that detail what effects they'll have on your character.

Superior Swallow potion

Whether this potion is in reference to the Swallow bird or the fact that you need to swallow it to gain its benefits is unclear, but what is clear about this potion is that it increases your Physical Defense by 5,000 and regenerates 300 Health every second, making you incredibly hard to kill while the potion is active. Furthermore, the 300 Health will be recovered in combat, and is the first time an item labelled as food can restore health in the same manner as Lost Ark's Healing Potions.

Superior Thunder potion

While the Superior Swallow potion offers the ability to take plenty of hits and shrug them off, the Superior Thunder potion will help you to take less hits altogether. This is due to its movement speed increases. When consumed, the potion grants a two percent increase to movement speed for 20 minutes, random increases to movement speed and resource regeneration for 20 minutes, and also gives a 15% increase to movement speed and an 800% increase to resource recovery rate for eight seconds after its use. These increases not only help you run in and out of combat, but also allow for much more seamless ability usage.

Superior Thunderbolt potion

Not to be confused with the Thunder potion above, the Thunderbolt potion does not affect movement speed or resource regeneration. Instead, this potion increases critical hit chance by one percent for 20 minutes, will randomly give attack power buffs during combat for the same duration, and upon activation will give a three percent buff to attack power for eight seconds. Thus, this potion is all about offense, allowing you to output more damage both instantly and intermittently for both of its durations.
