The Mario + Rabbids series was a surprise hit for Nintendo Switch players, combining Ubisoft's Rabbids and Nintendo's iconic Mario. The success of the first title has led to Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, an ambitious sequel. With many improvements and new features being added, you may be wondering if there is multiplayer in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope.
Is there co-op in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope?
There will be no multiplayer or co-op in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope—at least not in the base game. However, it is possible that multiplayer capabilities will be added post-launch or in the form of DLC, like it was in Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.
While this may disappoint those who enjoyed multiplayer in the previous title or in general, this will allow Ubisoft to focus solely on the single-player campaign.
We know that Rayman will be joining Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope as DLC, so it is possible that this new adventure will add a co-op mode as the Donkey Kong DLC did for Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. If this happens to be the case, you will want to grab the DLC if you wish to play with a friend in this delightful new adventure.
