Best Nimrod decks in Marvel Snap

The card that keeps coming back.

The Marvel Snap March Season Pass has finally dropped, allowing players to get their hands on Nimrod, Marvel Snap's newest card. This five Cost five Power card fits right into Destroy strategies, as its effect causes it to spawn a copy of itself in the other two locations when destroyed. This makes Nimrod a miniature Doctor Doom of sorts, but there are some pretty powerful combos and synergies that can be pulled off with this card. Find out below what decks have come out the strongest on day one of the Season Pass.

What cards work best with Marvel Snap's Nimrod?

Turn Six Galactus

To the joy of some and the frustration of others, one of the strongest Nimrod decks so far is Nimrod Galactus, also called Turn Six Galactus due to its ability to play Galactus on the final turn and still win. This is only possible because of Nimrod, as Nimrod will spawn copies of itself into Galactus' lane. If done correctly, the best finish for the deck will be Galactus, two Nimrods, and a Wolverine for sixteen or more Power in a surprise swing that will leave opponents scratching their heads. In games without Galactus, Destroyer can kill Wolverine and Nimrod to throw Power around the board as well.

This list created by YouTuber and Twitch streamer RegisKillbin has performed very well so far:

  • Nova
  • Wolverine
  • Scorpion
  • Okoye
  • Cosmo
  • Green Goblin
  • Nakia
  • Shuri
  • Nimrod
  • Hobgoblin
  • Galactus
  • Destroyer

DeathWave

One of the on-and-off meta dominators is currently attempting to slot in Nimrod, and so far the results have been pretty positive. DeathWave typically focuses on a fifth turn Wave into a final turn discounted Death and other cards, but Nimrod actually gives the deck a second potential win path for when their combo does not assemble itself. This version of the archetype swaps out some cards to make room for Nimrod, Venom, and Knull, giving the deck some powerful new combos to go with its typical ones.

If you're looking to give this deck a try, here is a list that has performed well so far:

  • Squirrel Girl
  • Yondu
  • Carnage
  • Venom
  • Killmonger
  • Wave
  • Deathlok
  • Nimrod
  • Aero
  • Knull
  • She-Hulk
  • Death

Nimrod Destroy

Though the name feels redundant, it is the best way to describe this archetype, as this is the Deadpool Destroy archetype with Nimrod. Nimrod gives this deck new life through another win condition, as destroying Nimrod gives the deck more Power overall and gives it another Destroy outlet. This archetype can pull off some ridiculous combos involving huge Deadpools, massive Venoms, and now can fill the board with Nimrods, making it a very fun experience.

Here's a strong deck list to try out:

  • Deadpool
  • Nova
  • Bucky Barnes
  • Carnage
  • Wolverine
  • Venom
  • Killmonger
  • Deathlok
  • Magik
  • Nimrod
  • Arnim Zola
  • Death

One final note on Nimrod and its best decks is that the current meta features a ton of Leech, Armor, and Cosmo, three cards that can completely nullify Nimrod's strategies. Because of this, you'll want to retreat liberally and try to read opposing snaps to save cubes when your opponent looks ready to counter your strategy.
