How to Enchant an Elytra in Minecraft

Here's how to enchant an elytra in Minecraft.

To enchant an elytra in Minecraft, you will need to place it inside an anvil as it can not be enchanted with an enchanting table. Along with this, you will also need to find an enchanted book to enchant the elytra with. When you find the book, place it inside the anvil, as shown below.

Once you have everything placed exactly as we do in our image above, you will be able to enchant the elytra with a small amount of experience that vary depending on the enchantment used.

However, before you can enchant the elytra, you will of course, need to know where you can find one and how to get both an anvil and an enchanted book.

To start, you can make an anvil with three iron blocks and four iron ingots, and you can get enchanted books in a number of ways. The first is to simply trade with villagers when they have them inside their inventories.

To do this, you will need emeralds which you can find deep underground. But besides trading, you can also loot them from dungeons and other structures. Now to find the elytra, you will need to go to the end and locate an end city. Inside these cities will sometimes be floating ships; inside one of these ships, you can find the elytra.
