Froglight Blocks are a tricky item to find and get in Minecraft. You cannot craft Froglight Blocks but must receive them as a rare drop. Getting a Froglight Block to drop is easier said than done as it requires a specific series of events. Here is how to get a Froglight Block in Minecraft.

You must first get a Frog and a Magma Cube. The Frog will have to stick out its tongue and swallow a small Magma Cube, so you will need to break the Cube down. Once the Frog has swallowed the Magma Cube, it will spit out a Froglight Block. The color of the block will depend on the color of the Frog.

  • Temperate Frog – Ochre Froglight
  • Warm Frog – Pearlescent Froglight
  • Cold Frog – Verdant Froglight

The hardest part of getting a Froglight Block is getting a Magma Cube and Frog together. We recommend using a bucket to carry Tadpoles into the Nether. You must then care for and protect the Tadpoles from hostile mobs here. A Nether Fortress can provide good protection as well as a space to collect Froglight Blocks.
