How to light a candle in Minecraft?

Here's how to light candles in Minecraft.

If you want to light a candle in Minecraft, there are a number of ways you can do it. The first is to make a simple flint and steel item that you can make with one flint and one iron ingot.

That said, if you want to make flint and steel, you will need to get one iron ingot and one flint. You can get the iron ingot by melting down iron ore via a furnace, and you get the flint by mining gravel.

Once you got all of those resources made, place both inside a crafting table, and you will get a flint and steel. When you get the flint and steel, take both and right-click or hit your use key on a candle, and you will light it.

However, flint and steel is not the extent of what you can use to light candles in Minecraft. You can also use fire charges, but these have shorter durability than flint and steel, so we don't recommend using them unless you have an overabundance of them.

After fire charges, you can also light candles by firing a projectile such as a fire arrow, but why would you when you can just walk over and light it with a flint and steel?
