How to report a Player in Minecraft

Report them!

If you want to report a player using the report system in Minecraft, it's not hard. The first step to reporting a player is to open the Player Reporting menu in-game. You can find the Player Reporting menu in the Game Menu below the Report Bugs option. Click Player Reporting, and you can report a player by selecting the create a report for user option.

You can find this option by pressing the red or yellow triangle next to a player's name in the Player Reporting menu list. After pressing the triangle, the report menu will open up. Inside the report menu, you can choose a chat message to report and the category for the report. So if you want to report a player, first select the chat message and the category the report falls under. Here are all categories you can select for player reports in Minecraft:

  • Terrorism or violent extremism
  • Child sexual exploitation or abuse
  • Imminent harm (Self-harm or suicide)
  • Harassment or bullying
  • Hate speech
  • Drugs or alcohol
  • Defamation
  • Impersonation
  • False information

Once you select the report category, fill out the description with extra context and explain the situation. Afterward, you can submit the report, and Mojang's team of investigators will review it. These Investigators will look at the message reported, the surrounding context, and the report's authenticity.
