How to play the Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak demo

Time to prep for the hunt!

The Sunbreak expansion for Monster Hunter Rise is nearly upon us! To help hunters new and old prepare, Capcom is releasing a demo that will allow hunters to take on fearsome beasts and test out new skills. Here's how you and your palico can download it.

When will the Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak demo be available?

The demo for Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak will be available on June 14, 2022. It can be downloaded from the Steam store or Nintendo Switch eShop.

There will be several monsters available to hunt while exploring the new Jungle map in the demo.

  • Beginner: Great Izuchi
  • Intermediate: Tetranadon
  • Expert: Astalos
  • Advanced: Malzeno

Aside from the hunts, there will be Training Quests that can be undertaken, proving especially useful for new hunters, but will also serve as a prompt refresher for returning players. Specifically, the tutorial on the new Switch Skill Swap mechanic is one to play for everyone.

The demo can be played solo or in multiplayer. For those itching to get a taste of what's to come, it's just the thing to download and shake off the rust. Happy hunting!
