Royal Ludroth Elemental Weakness

The Royal Ludroth's main weakness is Fire, so make sure to bring a weapon with you that has the element if you can. Should you lack a fire weapon, pick up thunder gear instead, as it deals substantial damage to the Royal Ludroth as well. Only use ice weapons as a last resort, as these tools don't inflict much damage on your prey. Avoid using water and dragon weapons, as the Royal Ludroth is resistant to their impact.

Those using fire elemental weapons should focus their attacks on the Head, Mane, Abdomen, and Back for the most damage. Thunder weapon users should concentrate on the Mane, while ice weapons are most impactful when striking the Mane, Foreleg, and Abdomen.

Royal Ludroth Resistances and Ailments

The Royal Ludroth isn't incredibly weak to ailments. Only a few types leave a lasting impact on this boss. Make sure to use either Blast or Fireblight ailments when facing this boss. The faster your attacks, the more likely you will stack an ailment on your opponent. The Royal Ludroth is not immune to any conditions, though the rest don't damage much.

Royal Ludroth Drop Rates - Carves, Capturing & Breaking

Depending on your quest, you can get different rewards to forge armor and weapons, but each has a drop rate percentage, ultimately RNG. It is pure luck what you receive.

  • There are multiple ways of gaining items
    • You can carving three times once the monster is dead.
    • You can capture the monster instead of killing it.
      • Or carving the broken appendage of said monster.
    • From looting the drops from the monster
    • After successfully compleing your quest

Most monsters have breakable parts, and Royal Ludroth is no different. Players can break the Royal Ludroth's Head, Mane, and Tail with enough damage. If you break these portions of the Royal Ludroth during the hunt, you will earn extra rewards after completing the quest.
