How to unlock skins in Mortal Kombat 11

There are a number of ways to unlock skins in Mortal Kombat 11. Skins can be found in the Krypt, earned from towers, or can be purchased from the store. Here are all the ways you can unlock skins in the game.

The Krypt

Skins can be found in the Krypt by opening the chests found scattered around each area. Chests cost Koins and the ones worth more tend to have better chances of having skin rewards. Many of the chests valued at 10,000 Koins and up have a good chance of unlocking skins and the special chests that require Hearts to open usually contain skins or other rare items. Progressing through areas of the Krypt rewards Koins, so you can have a chance to unlock skins in the Krypt without grinding the game too much at the beginning.

Towers

Towers of Time reward skins upon completion and the rewards can be checked on the left side of the tower before beginning it. Many of the Towers of Time do have multiple towers that need to be completed to earn the skin, however, these skins are typically rarer than the ones found in the Krypt. Koins can also sometimes be spent to unlock character Towers of Time, which have to be completed with one character of your choice and reward a skin and items for that character.

Online Matches

Exclusive skins can be earned by ranking in the Kombat League season. Playing matches and completing challenges can help you rank up and earn the skins. Kombat League seasons only last for a limited time, so check when the season ends to see how much time there is to unlock the season rewards.
