One of the most irritating bugs faced by most Multiversus players recently is the game being stuck on the authenticating screen. So, if you are facing a similar error while accessing the game on either PC or consoles, read the guide below.
The authenticating error code is a common issue that can be resolved. It usually appears when your system can't establish a reliable connection with the game servers, often due to server congestion or maintenance. Before you start troubleshooting, ensure the Multiversus Servers are up and running. Check their latest feed for any scheduled updates or server maintenance. If everything is fine on their end, these methods will help you fix the given error code.
Best solutions for Multiversus stuck on authenticating screen error
Restart your Router and switch to LAN (wired) Connection
The most common fix for the issue is to restart your Router and try using a wired (LAN) connection. LAN wires have a much more reliable and consistent connection than Wi-Fi, where players often face packet loss-related issues. This should solve the problem arising due to unreliable and weak connections.
Running the Game as Administrator - PC Only
Sometimes, the game application may not obtain proper network privileges if you are not running the game in administrator mode. So, before running any games, right-click on the application from the desktop and run the game with administrator privileges to avoid such problems.
Check for updates or Verify Game Files
Another primary reason for the authenticating issues may be destructive game files or not updating the game to its latest version. Your respective PC clients, Epic Games or Steam, should display any pending updates. If so, update the game to the newest version. Also, use the Verify Game Files option to remove any broken game files and replace them with new ones. The option is under Properties > Local Files > Check Integrity of game files.
For console players, you should find that you'll be prompted to download any updates when first loading up the game from your system's home screen. If you Quick Resumes or start the game from its Suspended mode, you may need to close it and restart it for the update to be pushed through.
If none of the above solutions helped you, your final resort is to contact the Warner Bros Games Support team. Raise a ticket about the issue to find a custom-tailored solution.
