Beginning to build any player in NBA 2K22 can be a lot of trial and error, but once you learn where each archetype excels, you can begin to build on those strengths with skills and badges to create a truly dominant player for either your MyPlayer or MyCareer. Here are three base builds that will lead you to create one of the league's best Shooting Guards.
Inside Out Playmaker
The Inside Out Playmaker is a speedy and shifty offensive weapon that will threaten any defense from any spot in the offensive zone. While this build will generate decent offense driving inside, it can be dominant if you focus a lot of skills and badges toward upgrading your base Sharpshooter ability.
You will thrive on jumpers from mid-to-three point range, simultaneously racking up assists using skills from the base Playmaking ability to dish out pinpoint accurate passes to the rest of your team.
2-Way Sharpshooter
An option if you want to be effective on both sides of the ball. While the title of sharpshooter may entice you into taking more jumpers, this versatile build can be more of a problem if you focus on building up skills that help your base abilities of Defending and Slashing.
You'll be a stalwart of the defense, generating steals and blocks while becoming a formidable presence at the rim. On offense, practice some dribble moves because you will thrive on shifty ball-handling to create space while driving to the rim for the finish or a trip to the foul line.
Scoring Machine
With both base abilities in the Sharpshooter category, this build has the capability to become one of the league's best on offense. If you play to those strengths and funnel most of your badges and skills into shooting, you will be deadly from three-point range and near unstoppable from mid-range. You'll live and die by your jump shot, but a high-level SM shooting guard is a legitimate contender for the scoring title every season.
