Summer Game Fest 2022 confirmed for June

Gamers unite for this summer event!

While the gaming community continues to reel over the seeming confirmation of E3 being canceled for 2022, news came out that Summer Game Fest 2022 has been officially confirmed. Coming sometime in June, there are expected to be many surprises in store for the event.

On March 31, 2022, Summer Game Fest confirmed on their official Twitter account that the event for 2022 has been confirmed and will occur sometime in June 2022. A specific date has yet to be released but should be available soon. Geoff Keighley, journalist and TV presenter, has confirmed on his own Twitter account that he will be hosting the event. This is welcome but not surprising, as Keighley was at the center of hosting and the event creation for Summer Game Fest 2021.

Keighly also posted on his Twitter account on March 30, 2022, to call for submissions of Indie developers to show off their games on the Day of the Devs. While full details have not been released, many have noted the Summer Game Fest Edition in the graphic attached to the tweet, confirming that these two events will be connected to one another.
