How to change party members in One Piece Odyssey

One Piece Odyssey is a grand tale featuring Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates. You can control the crew as you explore Waford, but you will notice that only four of your party members can battle at one time. This may leave you wondering how to switch your party in One Piece Odyssey.

How to swap party order in One Piece Odyssey, explained

You will not be able to swap your party members until you have unlocked this ability in One Piece Odyssey. You will gain this ability around the time you battle Del Kong and save Nami. This ability will be expanded as you progress further. Once you have unlocked this, you can freely move your party around in and out of combat.

How to swap party members in combat in One Piece Odyssey

You will primarily be swapping party members during combat in One Piece Odyssey. The combat system is built around changing your party members and attack order. There are two main functions in the party swap system.

• Change turn order - RB/LB, L1/R1
• Swap party member out - Y/Triangle (Tactics)

You must first open the Tactics menu to swap a party member out. Here you can choose the Swap Party Member option. You will then need to select the two party members you wish to change and confirm your choice. Party members that have already acted cannot be swapped out. Party swapping will not occur during auto battles and can only be done manually.

How to swap party members outside combat in One Piece Odyssey

Outside of combat, you can change your party member order and who is in your main lineup. Open the main menu, then simply select the Battle Crew Formation tab. This will let you rearrange who is in your main crew and your reserve crew.
