One Piece Odyssey is an epic adventure RPG game where you can play the iconic Luffy character and his band of pirate Straw Hats. One Piece games in the past have been touch and go for allowing you to team up with friends and share the adventure in co-op. There are certainly plenty of great characters available in the experience, but if you're wondering if you can include a plus one, it might not be the best game for you.
Can you play One Piece Odyssey with friends?
The simple answer to the question is no. One Piece Odyssey will unfortunately not include any co-op, split-screen, or online multiplayer modes. It will focus more on in-depth storylines and quests that are better geared for solo play, meaning you will have to go on this adventure alone.
Despite it only being single-player, there are plenty of characters you can unlock within the game and switch to at any point you like. There are puzzles and tasks you will need to complete, each geared for a different character throughout the story, so you'll have a chance to experience various personalities and have a try at your favorites.

You can always share the experience with a couch buddy, but if you're looking for another option in the One Piece universe, there are others you can try. Although One Piece Odyssey and One Piece: Worldseeker are not compatible with multiplayer, the One Piece: Pirate Warriors series does. If you're looking for a way to enjoy pirate life with friends, that is your way.
