In a game like this one, you really don't want to be experiencing any server issues, as you're always two seconds away from being stabbed, kicked, gassed, etc. I especially wouldn't like for that to happen during the Cleanse the Orphans trial with Mother Gooseberry chasing me. Here's how to check if Outlast Trials servers are down.

The first place you should look at is the official X account @TheRedBarrels. If they are planning maintenance to either fix something or add new content, then they will post about it on the account. This way, you can prepare in advance and avoid playing the game during that period.

If you don't see anything planned, then you should check with the community. Either follow the Outlast Reddit thread, or you can join some community Discords. Other than staying up to date with the game, this will help you stay connected with other players.

  • Restart Steam and the game.
  • Reinstall Outlast Trials if necessary.
  • Restart your router in case of network issues.
