How to increase your inventory in Pacific Drive

I'm hoarding all of the materials; extra space is a must.

There are a lot of materials you can get on the road for crafting, but you don't have a lot of space to store it, especially at the beginning. Learn how to increase your inventory in Pacific Drive so that you can get everything you need on one trip.

How to get more inventory in Pacific Drive

As you go through junctions, you will collect materials for crafting. However, most of the time, you won't be able to craft on the road while being chased by anomalies and the storm. You'll need to be able to bring all of it back to the garage, so here's how to get more inventory in Pacific Drive.

Extra storage space is also very useful on longer drives when you go through junctions with no gateway exits. You can plan your route to avoid such junctions, but sometimes it's unavoidable, so you have to be prepared.

How to increase your car storage space in Pacific Drive

The trunk has a lot of space at the beginning, but you'll quickly need more. It's also good to put all of your things in the car to avoid anomalies like the Abductor stealing them from you while you are on foot. Learn how to increase your car storage space in Pacific Drive below.

You can get more storage space through the Fabricator, which you will find in one of the rooms at Oppy's garage. Once it is available to you, you can get all of the upgrades to increase your car's inventory.

First, you have to unlock racks for the car, which you can find under the Expansion Racks tab on the Fabricator. There are two options that you can use for storage.

Side Rack- Craft Mat
- Installed Scanning Antenna
- Researched Steel Sheet
- Steel Sheet x2
Roof Rack- Craft Mat

You can install four Side Racks on the car, but I only use two for Side storage and the others for fuel and battery recharge. The same goes for the Roof rack; you can install two, but I only use one for extra inventory.

How to increase your backpack storage space in Pacific Drive

Screenshot by Pro Game Guides

In order to increase your backpack storage space in Pacific Drive, you first need to unlock the Outfitting Station. You can find it under the Garage tab on the Fabricator. Before you can get to it, you will have to unlock the Matter Deconstructor. Once you have that, you can easily branch out to the Outfitting Station. To make it, you need:

  • Craft Mat unlocked and researched Gear
  • Scrap Metal x35
  • Gear x4
  • Electronics x4

When you open the Outfitting Station, you will see that there are two upgrades for your backpack.

UpgradeCrafting MaterialsInventory increase
Medium Backpack- Fabric x2066 slots and six quick slots
Large Backpack- Fabric x40
- Swamp Coral x200
76 slots and eight quick slots

While I like getting extra inventory space, I especially love having extra quick slots, as it means I can have all of my tools assigned to quick slots. It's especially annoying when you only have four, and you are trying to switch to the Impact Hammer before a Spark Surge hits you.
